What's the difference between video review and video delivery?

Video review is the process of sharing works-in-progress to collect feedback and approvals. Video delivery is the handover of the finished, approved files to the client. Review is iterative and internal-facing; delivery is final and client-facing.

The two phases have different needs. In review you want watermarks, disabled downloads, timecoded comments, and version control, because the film is not done and should not leak. In delivery you want the opposite: pristine playback, full-resolution downloads, a branded presentation, and confirmation that the files were collected.

Confusing them causes problems. Delivering through a review tool makes the client wade through a production interface to get their film. Reviewing through a delivery tool without watermarks or download controls risks an unfinished cut going public.
