How much cloud storage does a videographer need?
Most working videographers need 500GB to 3TB of active cloud storage for delivery, depending on how many projects are live at once and whether they deliver raw footage.
Most working videographers need 500GB to 3TB of active cloud storage for delivery, depending on how many projects are live at once and whether they deliver raw footage. Delivery storage is different from backup storage: it only needs to hold what clients are currently collecting.
A useful way to size it: estimate the finished deliverables per project (a wedding film package is often 10 to 30GB; a brand campaign with cut-downs 5 to 20GB), multiply by the number of projects live in a typical 60 to 90 day window, and add headroom. A videographer delivering four projects a month with a 90-day window is comfortably inside 500GB to 1TB.
The number balloons only if finished projects never leave active storage. Archive them and the requirement stays flat as the business grows.
DLVRD plans map to this: Basic 500GB, Pro 1TB, Studio 3TB, with The Vault for archiving delivered work so your active allowance stays free for current clients.
