Pass Is Shutting Down: The Best Alternative If You Deliver Video Too

Pass Is Shutting Down: The Best Alternative If You Deliver Video Too

The short version

Pass is closing. According to Pass's own help center, client galleries stop being accessible on October 31, 2026, and any remaining data is permanently deleted on December 31, 2026. Pass is offering an automatic migration to Pic-Time until October 31.

If you only deliver photos and sell prints, the migration to Pic-Time is the path of least resistance. But if you also hand clients films, highlight reels or event recaps, this is a good moment to pick a platform built around video, not one where video is an extra.

Key dates

• Now → Oct 31: download your galleries, export client and order lists, or opt into the Pic-Time migration.

• Oct 31, 2026: Pass galleries go offline for clients.

• Dec 31, 2026: remaining Pass data is permanently deleted.

Before you choose: export everything

Whatever you pick, do this first:

• Download full-resolution originals of every gallery you still need.

• Export your gallery and client lists.

• Export order history if you sold prints.

• Note which galleries clients still actively visit, so you can re-send new links.

Your three realistic options

1. Migrate to Pic-Time. Pass ran on a white-labeled version of Pic-Time's software, so the move is familiar and automatic. Strong for print sales and photo galleries.

2. Move to ShootProof. ShootProof is courting Pass users with 50% off for 12 months (until Oct 31) and launched video hosting this week. Video storage is capped by plan: up to 50GB of video on its $31.99/month plan and 150GB on its $60/month plan.

3. Move to DLVRD if video is a real part of your work. DLVRD is built for delivering finished video and photos in one branded gallery:

• 500GB of active storage for $15/month, 1TB for $39, 3TB for $79. Storage isn't split into photo and video buckets.

• Smooth playback on any connection: viewers can pick 720p or 1080p streams, or play the untouched original.

• Timecoded client comments under each video, with no client login.

• Watermarks and disabled downloads for review rounds, then the same gallery becomes the final delivery.

• Finished projects move to The Vault ($99/TB, one-time) to free up active storage.

Clients leave timecoded comments right under the video. No account needed.
